Springfield Phase III (Shiloh Drive to 360LF South of Buck Fever Bend)

A partnership that continues to spell success and improvement for many residents and visitors to north Laredo has been forged between the City of Laredo the WC-CL Regional Mobility Authority. There’s no better way to connect than through a roadway!

This phase of Springfield Road is now complete and opened to traffic on August 2, 2023.  The project includes a 3,170 linear foot extension with five (5) lanes of nine (9)-inch concrete pavement.  Other important project items include the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Shiloh and Springfield, pavement markings, landscaping, and a 12-foot-wide sidewalk for cyclists and pedestrians to share on both sides of the road.  The subsurface or “hidden” infrastructure includes storm drainage structures and a water distribution system.
